I am using DC7 Batch File Editor to convert WAV to MP3 on a large number of files. If I attempt to add more than say a couple of dozen files to the "Files to run this filter on:" workspace, my XP system just sits there and nothing appears in the workspace. If I keep the added file quantity down to say 20 files or so, that workspace fills right up quickly. I then have to perform the add files function repeatedly to get my desired number of files into the workspace. I can then successfully run the WAV to MP2 conversion.
Is there a limit on the number of files I can place into the workspace at one time? I'm going to be doing thousands of MP3 conversions soon, but it will be tedious if I have to add a small quantity of files at a time.
Thanks
