  • Acoustical 78 - Out of Band Noise Filter

Here is a Brick Wall (found in the DC6 Forensics Menu) filter designed for use on Acoustical 78's intended to remove all out-of-band noise (outside of the 100 Hz to 4200 Hz range). After this filter is applied, use the CNF (Continuous Noise Filter) to remove any residual in-band-noise. Refer to your users manual for the proper operation of the CNF.

Note 1: Acoustical 78's are those shellac based thin-cut disc records produced before circa 1924 - 1925

Note 2: It is generally best to remove the out of band noise before using the CNF to remove the in band noise.
