  • Free Schober Church Organ

    Location: Northern New Jersey

Description: Free Mahogany Schober Church Organ with nice cross onlays on each side of the wooden cabinet structure, circa 1960. This is an attractive looking piece.

    It has the following characteristics:

2 Manuals, each having 61 Keys

    17 Bass Pedals

    4 "Pedal" Stops

    11 "Swell" Stops

    7 "Great" Stops

Instrument has multiple special effect generators.

Unit uses 12 Oscillator/Flip-flop circuits as its engine, each one requiring 3 x 12AX7 dual triodes (not included)

Preamp and Special Effect boards use 15 x 12AX7 dual triodes (not included).

Large 5U4GT/GB based power supply for B+

    Total Tube Count: 51 x 12AX7, 1 x 5U4GT/GB

This organ is intended to be used with external power amplifier(s) and speaker system(s) as would be found in a church. Preamp output is roughly 2 Volts peak to peak and can drive most audio power amplifiers.

Note: This unit worked before I removed the tubes (I had to remove them because they are worth/cost quite a bit of money). I would have to charge around $500.00 for the tubes alone; but the Organ is free.

    Price: Free (sans tubes)

    Contact: Craig Maier - dctools@aol.com or craig@diamondcut.com

Other: It will take two persons to lift this unit; it is quite heavy. Pickup only.

Dimensions: 42.5 inches wide x 26.75 inches deep x 36 inches high. (Music holder adds another 9 inches to the height).
