  • Brick Wall Filter Length

The Brick Wall Filter under the Forensics Tab contains an adjustment labeled "Length".

Is the length value equal to the number of Taps in a FIR filter?

I think that would be sort of like comparing apples and pairs. But not sure.

The slope response is different when viewed on the Spectrum Analyzer. FIR filters exhibit a phase linear response during their transition from one frequency to another.(Bessel).

FIR filters exhibit much steeper cutoff slopes while IIR filters produce pass bands identical to their analog counterparts (ie - Butterworth, Chebyshev,
      Nth Order).

Yes the Length parameter is the number of Taps on the FIR filter.
