Replacing segment of left channel with a piece from the right

There is one small section of this recording where the left speaker picked up some unusual, distracting noise. Is there some way I can pull that section out and replace it with a part of the right channel. In other words, change that short section from stero to mono, using the right channel?

It is easy to do, but first you must be sure that your soundcard preferences are set up to WDM and not MME's. Here is what to do thereafter:

Highlight the sector of interest.

Use the Right only button to copy the good portion of the file to the clipboard.

Next, select the Left only channel button.

Paste it in.

Note: The opposite action can also be performed between the two channels
