  • open .wav files

Sometime ago i restored some albums burned to a master cd. There are about 12 .wav files on each of 100 CDs.

Last week I loaded one of the .wav files into cd6 and tried to play. The program crashed and shut down. Any suggestions would be great.

    Thanks.

Some CD-Rs have been known to fail over time. (bit rot perhaps).

Also, stick on labels on CD-Rs have been known to destroy them over time. The recording side of a CD-R is not the optical side; it is the opposite side where you put the label. The laser shines through the optical side and creates the pits on the dye layer and some sort of reaction often occurs between the glue on label and the dye over time. I have had that happen here so I am witness to it. Now, I only use a sharpie to label my CD-Rs and have not had any trouble with that method.
