  • Use your feet

    Craig,
I ran across this device that works with Windows Media Player and wondered if it might have an application with the forensic labs:
    http://www.solidstatesound.co.uk/TransPedal.htm
It's alanagous to the old foot pedal that legal transcriptionists used to start and stop their recorders in order to keep their hands free for typing. It apparently allows foot control of all software playback functions through Windows and includes an applet for stand-alone use. Not too expensive, about $140 if I remember my pound-to-dollar conversion rates correctly.
Just a thought for your consideration.
    Brian

    Hi Brian,

Thanks - - - I just sent the link to Tracer as they may be interested in selling something like this.

      Foot pedal

I use WavPedal7. It is compatible with WAV files and mates with your word-processing program. It features settable backspace, variable speed, and it comes with a hefty USB transcription foot pedal. Available for $219 at www.dictran.com

I have used it with output files from DCLive.
