  • DC7 on Windows Server 2008

I've heard a lot of good things about using Server 2008 as a desktop operating system.

I've installed it on a virtual machine, but can't seem to get DC7 to run--msvcore.dll not installed or not found.

I installed Microsoft Media Player and a variety of supporting apps, and there is an msvcore.dll in \Windows\system32.

    Any thoughts or ideas?

    Thanks--Guy

This is all that we know about it (from Rick):

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Server 2003 is sort of a parallel OS to XP dedicated to the server markets. I don't know what they install by defaut but it apparently is missing a Dll.

My guess as to why it is not finding the msvcore.dll is that it is a different version from what is needed by dcart, but that is just a guess. I have not tried it on any of the server versions recently.
