  • DC7 pkf error message

Every time I down-convert from 96kHz / 24 bit to 44.1kHz / 16 bit, I get an error message stating that the new pkf file cannot be re-named with an OK button. I click the button and everything seems ok, in fact opening the directory there is, in fact, a new pkf file matching the new and down-converted wav.

It's no big deal and I've detected no file damage, just a bug report. I use classic mode on XP Home with SP2. This bug didn't appear until I installed the latest update, but I can now convert all mp3's to wav and a bonus...now in Normalized Gain Scaling the value is remembered from the previous usage.

Thanks for the bug report; we will look into it for the next release.

Craig - I'm getting the same exact bug as Quartet87. I down-convert from 24/96 to both 16/44.1 and 16/48 (for MP3's). I get a re-name error for both but they come out just fine in the resulting WAV files as well as the PKF's.

        Thanks,

It is on the todo list.
