  • changing the pitch of one voice

Is there anyway I can change the pitch of one voice in a recording without distorting the other voices. I am using DC 8live. I have one lady who's voice is very high pitched and makes it difficult to understand what she is saying for transcription. Everyone else is a normal tone and I really don't want to mess with these if I can keep from it. I can change it with Stretch n squish but won't that change everyone?

    Hi Beverly

You can use "Selective Editing" on just her voice so long as she is not talking at the same time as others. It would be a manual process. If you are using classic edit mode, clone the file first and then go through the source file and highlight ever place where she is talking. Then apply the Stretch and Squish filter to those sectors and that will do the trick. It will not work if she is talking concurrently with others.
