    Hi all,

Some buddies and I have started a podcast and last night I started to edit it and found that trying to find all the silences and deleting them was kind of a pain. Is there anything within DC 8 that finds the silences and deletes them automatically?

    Thanks everyone,

    Conner

    Hi,

The upcoming Forensics9 version has that feature fully automated, but not the earlier versions. However, a partially automated feature that you can use is called "find and mark silent passages" under the CD prep menu. That will place markers at each silent location. Then, you can just highlight each silent sector and use the "Cut" command to eliminate it. It's pretty effective.

The DCForensics10.x version has a silence eliminator feature (shortens file lengths).
