  • Should Playback Rate Match Soundcard ?

    Guys,

I haven't thought about this, but, if a file is recorded at 96 kHz, should the playback sound card be set to the same value ?

DCart10 allows you to set the recording sample rate in the dialog box, but I have not found anyplace that has DCart10 set the Playback rate.

I will often set the playback rate in the "Control Panel" in WIndows 10 to be 44.1 kHz and then play a song in classic edit recorded at 96 kHz and it "seems to work".

Maybe I should always set the sound card and song to the same sample rate ?

I am not 100% sure, but I think that the software reads the header of the file and plays at that rate, whatever it may be or wherever the settings may be set to.
