  • Is there a way to monitor audio as it is being recorded

Good day, all. Is there a way to monitor the audio as it is being captured . I would like to be able to do a quality check as the record is being captured by DCart. I haven't been able to find anything in the manual regarding this. Hopefully, I just missed it.

I believe that depends on the soundcard. I know that it is done by the Military using the Diamond Cut Forensics version coupled with the multifilter. Check out the multifilter (read about it first in the helpfile). It involves 'log to disc'.

This subject is covered in my Music Restoration Book (available here).

Easy way is to check the option in the control panel regarding "listen to this device" in the recording part (i.e., line in).
