    hi
i often use fade out to fade out to silence. it would be very helpful to have a preset where the last 2 seconds of the file can be faded out rather than manually selecting the position of the file which i currently do. is there a way i can make my own preset? i have got no further than clicking the new archive button in the manage presets section, ie i don't know how to go further to create a new preset. if there is already a preset that i can use or modify could you please point me in the direction i can find it.

Hi - instead of using fade in or fade out, try using the filter sweeper. I find that it can give a more natural lead in and lead out. Give that a try. Presets can be created by this function too.

The gain change function found under the edit menu permits presets savings. You can create linear, log or curviliinear gain changes vs time having any shape that you desire.
