HELLLLP...restoring recorded phone conversation

I've recorded some tapes(phone conversation) using a cheap quality machine! the sound quality is too bad.you can hear only one person,the other you can barely hear him..is there a way of fixing this? and is there a better machine that can be used? Ps: i have 15 tapes and i did not use dc software before [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img]

Try using the Dynamics Processor found under the effects menu. Bring up the Telephone Near Party - Far Party compensator Preset. Adjust the threshold control on the Dynamics Processor for the best results. That should do the trick.
