I am using dcart 3.11 Which filter and settings would I use to remove the noise from the phono stylus riding in the bottom of the record groove? This is a 1970's stereo lp. I used the high pass filter method but still hear the noise.

Try highlighting a section at the beginning or end of a cut that has only noise, no music. Use that section to sample the noise in the continuous noise filter. Then run the filter on a section of interest, fiddle with the parameters and see if you can get a satisfactory resuly - ie. get rid of as much noise as possible without noticable artifacts in the music. Then run the filter on the whole thing. Realize that the noise filter is not easy to use - you may have to play with it a while before you can get good results. Sometimes you just can't get rid of all the noise without artifacts.
