Clipping of highs when using "Normalise" in DC11

I have a recurring problem with DC11, whenever I record an vinyl, before splitting the file into tracks, I like to normalize the file as a whole to a -0.3db. With DC11, it always tends to clip the highs, sometimes drastically. I have gotten use to using DC8 to normalize and chop after doing my editing and track markers in 11.

Soundwise, I don't really notice the clipped waveform, so I wonder if it is just the peak file being displayed incorrectly.

I just installed version 11.09, hoping this clipping behavior has been fixed. I uploaded photos of what I am experiencing. Basically, I normalize scale the whole LP side recording to a -0.3dB and click "Yes" on the "Save to Undo" prompt. It consistently clips the highs on every file I try. When I try to Edit/Undo the file does not return to the original but stays with the clipped file.

Is anyone else experiencing this behavior? Is the file too large for an UNDO?

That looks like the preamp is clipping. Are you using a ceramic cartridge into a magnetic cart. input? At any rate, the de-clipper may help the signal, but be yet would be to install an attenuator in the record signal parthway having at least 9 dB attenuation. Even better yet, us a mag cartridge.

With regard to your pictures. Does the left photo show the recording without any processing? For example, is that the Raw recorded signal?

Then, are the photos showing the result of the normalized result?

Sorry for the delay answering -- the photos (L to R) are the following:

1st photo: Raw recorded file, Turntable -> Pre-amp -> Soundcard (with peaks at approx. 6 dB down).
2nd photo: Shows my setting of -0.3 dB using the "Normalized Gain Scaling" tool.
3rd photo: Shows the "Save Undo Information" prompt which I chose "Yes"
4th photo: Shows the entire file after normalizing to -0.3 dB (highlighting clipped portion).
5th photo: Shows the zoomed-in portion of the file with the clipped peak.

I use an Elekit TU-8500 tube preamp, Moving Magnet cartridge (with MM input on pre), gain adjusted on pre to -6 dB on the input of a Soundblaster ZxR soundcard.

I have been using DCart 8 for many years and previous versions of DCart prior to v8, and never experienced this particular behavior. For some reason DCart 11 tends to exhibit this clipping behavior, and even if I try to undo, it does not revert back to the pre-normalized file. I much prefer the v11 user interface, but unfortunately, I tend to only normalize files using v8, then switch to v11 for processing and track splitting.
