AN-15 Theoretical Frequency Response of Records by Format

This Application Note describes the frequency response of various media formats. Knowing the theoretical frequency response of the media that you are restoring can be of value when cleaning up these recordings. For example when setting up a Low Pass filter to eliminate extraneous noise at the end of a restoration process. However, bandwidth should never be reduced prior to performing the EZ Impulse Filter process (used to reduce transient noise like clicks, pops, static and so forth).
